Your primary business must be LAN gaming. We realize that there are many quality locations that
offer gaming as an adjunct to other business such as PC repair, Internet access, etc. We exist to promote
game centers in particular, so only game centers are allowed.
Your facility and website must be professional in appearance. Anything that looks like it was not
professionally made and maintained, or is dirty, disorganized, out of date, confusing, lacking information,
and so on does not represent the high standard the we wish to maintain.
You must have photos of your game center on your website, and upload current photos to the IPGCL site.
We're trying to show off our game center here! Get to work!
Cheating of any kind will NOT be tolerated. If your center is caught cheating, you may be
permanently removed from the iPGCL at the administrator's sole discretion. Because of this,
you must make sure your players represent you well and are not trying to cheat or hack.
You must have a T1 (or comparable low-latency) Internet connection. Your connection must be capable of at
least 1.54 megabits per second in both upload and download modes. This is to ensure that any
ping issues will be less significant. Cable modems and the like are not capable of supporting
multiple persons playing on the Internet while maintaining a quality experience for them all.
You must use facility computers during matches. The computers in your center
should be more stable and secure than the average gamer's computer. You are responsible for ensuring
that the systems have the proper versions of games, and are free of hacks or malware that could
interfere with gaming matches.
You must have at least 20 computers in your facility. We don't want IPGCL events to tie up more
than 25% of anyone's computers during events. Your computers must be able to play the latest games while
providing a quality gameplay experience to your customers, so there are not complaints that hardware hindered
competition.
You must be reachable in at least two ways. Methods of contact that we accept and that we
prefer are (in order): Phone (required), Instant Messenger (AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, XFire),
or IRC. We don't want to waste anyone's time waiting for contact.
You must stay active in the IPGCL. Your center must stay active in at least one competition every
month, and post pictures of your facility and events. Use the features on this site! They are designed
to help you promote your center and generate more business! We want to ensure a high level of activity
to fuel competition.
You must legally own and have an official license for every game you will be competing in.
Software piracy hurts us all - stay legal! The game developers deserve to be
paid for their hard work.
You must abide by all rules and requests of the iPGCL staff. Nobody is here to argue, we are
here to play games and have a great time! Lets keep everything honest and open.
